Chapter 1 : They met and He fell in hate at first sight.
“The proposal I am suggesting is beneficial for both of us, Niam,” Samanvay expressed his belief for the partnership He was offering to Niam Sehgal, the man who owned a chain of hotels around three continents, Asia, Europe and North America.
And Samanvay Goenka wanted partners like Niam Sehgal to expand his casino and liquor business around the world. He already had an established Casino and Liquor empire in Asia and Australia but now he wanted to enter the markets of North America and Europe. He had been trying to reach this man for the last two weeks but he kept rejecting Samanvay’s proposal and meeting him.
However, Samanvay Goenka was known for always getting what he desired, be it money, power or woman but Niam Sehgal was a hard nut to crack.
Finally, two days ago, His another business ally, Mr Merchant told Him that he could arrange Samanvay an informal meeting with Niam Sehgal.
True to his words, Mr Merchant invited him to this charity event in Niam Sehgal’s hotel. Although Samanvay didn't believe in these fake charities, he agreed to come to this charity symphony to meet Niam Sehgal.
Mr Merchant introduced Samanvay to Niam and then left, giving them privacy to discuss business.
Niam Sehgal looked at Him in nothing but pure contempt. “Who told you that I am interested in doing any kind of business with a man like you, Mr Goenka?” Niam Sehgal spat out as his eyes narrowed to slits. “Everyone is not like Mr Merchant who could easily be bought and blinded by money,” He pointed a finger to himself as he spoke further: “Niam Sehgal will never do any business with someone like you.”
Samanvay clenched his jaws together as anger shot through his body instead of blood. But He calmed that boiling rage, reminding himself that it was broad daylight and He was here to do business. Legitimate business like a reputed businessman.
“I don't understand, Mr Sehgal. What do you mean by a man like me?” Samanvay’s eyes sharpened as He looked at Niam with a stern gaze. “Kindly elaborate your answer so that I can properly understand the reason behind your rejection.”
The hatred in Niam’s eyes expanded as his upper lip curled in anger. “A dirty goon like you!” He snarled, “A man who doesn't even know whose blood is flowing in his veins!”
Samanvay’s black eyes turned even darker and his nose flared in pure wrath, his gaze turned threatening. “Say that again and I will rip your tongue out of your mouth, You son of a bi**h,” He gritted out pointing a finger at him in warning.
Niam chuckled. “That’s what you are, An uncivilised monster! Do you really think that by wearing these rich clothes you can become one of us? No you can't, you cheap criminal. Your dirty work could buy you money but not class, your dirty work cannot buy you a reputation and Niam Sehgal doesn't work with low-class scums like you. A Bastard like you,” He said, levelling Samanvay’s heated glare.
Samanvay’s inner monster ripped off the civilised mask he was wearing, his hand shot to his waistband and he pulled out his gun, pointing it at Niam Sehgal’s chest who wobbled slightly seeing the madness dancing in Samanvay’s eyes. “The fear in your eyes, I thrive on it. Bark what you were barking just now. Bark!” He sneered getting into his face.
“You think you can get away after killing me?” Niam spoke bravely.
It was Samanvay’s turn to chuckle. “I am Samanvay Goenka, I rule over the country’s biggest crime Syndicate. Trust me Niam, I can get away with anything and everything.”
Niam Sehgal’s eyes hardened, he was about to open his mouth when the sound of heels clicking against the floor sounded and a soft yet firm voice called Niam. “Dad, what's happening here?”
A sweet voice entered Samanvay’s ears and the muscles around His eyes tightened. He immediately hid his gun in the waistband of his pants and turned his head towards the voice.
Samanvay Goenka froze while his breath hitched in his throat seeing the most beautiful girl he ever laid his eyes on. Her almond-shaped black eyes for a moment trapped Samanvay in some kind of magic that he forgot to blink.
After the moment passed, Samanavay’s eyes zoomed in on the beautiful features of her face, her small pert nose and heart-shaped lips and from them to her porcelain skin. The attraction was instant and feral. It consumed Samanvay Goenka in an instant and He wanted nothing more than to know every single detail of Her life.
Manya’s eyes folded in a deep frown seeing a man standing this close to her father. The situation looked odd to her and she walked to them as soon as she could.
“Who are you?” Manya demanded standing between her father and that man and fixing him with a pointed stare.
“Manya what are you doing here, leave.” Niam Sehgal told his daughter but Manya didn't buzz from her stance and kept staring at Samanvay’s dark gaze. “Calm down, Dad,” she told her father and turned her attention back to Samanvay. “Yes, tell me who you are?”
Samanvay’s eyebrows jerked up hearing her demanding tone. He understood the girl was nothing but Papa’s princess whose only aim in life was spending her father's money. A smirk played on his lips at the thought as he answered her. “Samanvay Goenka, I was discussing a business proposal with your father.”
Manya’s eyebrows shot up and she crossed her hands to her chest. “Samanvay Goenka, The owner of GCC if I am not wrong?” She asked with a nod.
“The very same. But how do you know me, Sweetheart?” Samanvay asked, looking straight into her eyes.
“It's Miss Sehgal to you,” She corrected Him pointedly. “And to answer your question, It's not hard to memorise the name of a disgusting criminal like you,” She hissed, giving a loathsome glare to him. “Who allowed you in here, don't you know that people of your race are not allowed in Manya Sehgal’s hotel!”
Samanvay’s eyes hardened at her arrogant words. “Mind your words, Young lady. Just because I am silent doesn't mean I am harmless. I came here with a business proposal and..”
“I rejected your business proposal twice. We are not interested in doing any kind of business with you. The Sehgals will never associate themselves with a cheap goon like you, Mr Goenka. We have a class and standard and we would never degrade ourselves to stand next to you let alone work with you. So if you have found your answer,” She took a step forward and said: “Get out of my hotel.”
Samanvay’s whole body tightened in rage. Suddenly, the beauty of this girl vanished and Samanvay was witnessing nothing but arrogance in her. Her pride and arrogance both were bruising Samanvay’s ego and identity. In a cold menacing voice, he spoke: “You speak too big words, Lady. You should be scared of the consequences of such words.”
Niam Sehgal jerked angrily hearing the warning in Samanvay’s words. He was about to admonish Samanvay’s threat but his daughter handled it herself. “Scared of what? A low-class goon like you. Even my shoes won't be scared of you, Sir,” She said proudly as She stood toe to toe with him, “Now for the last time, get out of my hotel or I will call security to throw you out of here!”
Samanvay’s eyes gleamed in excitement, a corner of his lips lifted in a smirk and he gave her a nod. “No need to tire yourself, Sweetheart. I will leave here myself, see you soon,” He told her.
Manya’s blood boiled when he once again called her Sweetheart.
“No, my time is too precious to waste it on a man like you,” She said pointing towards the exit with her chin.
Her words left a huge dent in Samanvay’s ego and pride. He wanted nothing more than to make her eat her own words. Samnavya nodded at her challengingly and turned around to leave from there but with a pledge that He was going to snatch this woman’s pride and shatter it under His shoes.
