CONTENT POLICY

Effective Date: September 1, 2023

1. This content policy, referred to as the "Content Policy," governs the relationship between FictionMe is a trademark/business brand operated by Bonimor Limited, a company registered in Cyprus under company number HE431640 ("FictionMe," "we," "our"), and users ("users," "you") of the Platform concerning specific content usage on the Platform. Any capitalized terms not defined in this document can be found in the User Terms of Use and Privacy Policy ("Terms"). This Content Policy is an integral part of the Terms and is subject to all the terms and conditions laid out therein.

2. By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm your unconditional acceptance of this Content Policy. Please carefully read this Content Policy before using the Platform. If you do not agree with the terms presented in this Content Policy, please refrain from using the Platform, as you will not have permission to access, view, or use it for any purpose.

3. These guidelines apply to Work - book content, including title, cover art, and product description.

4. FictionMe carefully considers the types of content we make available in our Online Platform and reviews our approach regularly, listening to feedback and investigating concerns from our customers. We reserve the right to remove content from our Online Platform if we determine it creates a poor customer experience.

5. The users are responsible for adhering to our content policy. We’ll remove content that does not adhere to this policy and promptly investigate any Work when notified of potential noncompliance.

6. Prohibited Content:

Submitted content must not include or embody, in whole or part, the following, as determined in Company’s sole discretion:

6.1. General content rules:

6.1.1. Libelous Material: False defamatory statements that intentionally harm or have the potential to harm an individual or a third party.

6.1.2. Illegal Content: As we may determine in our sole discretion, content that is illegal, content that violates the laws of any jurisdiction, whether or not we sell in such jurisdiction.

6.1.3. Misleading Content: Content designed to mislead readers or content that deliberately misrepresents the material presented in your book.

6.1.4. Advertisements: Content contained within your book or other content that primarily seeks to sell a product other than the book or content itself.

6.1.5. Other Offensive Material: any other content we deem offensive in the exercise of our sole discretion including but not limited to works portraying or encouraging incest, rape, bestiality, necrophilia, pedophilia, or content that encourages intolerance, terrorism, hate, racism or violence.

6.2. Prohibited Text Content:

6.2.1. Content that infringes any intellectual property right belonging to a third party (including, without limitation, copyright, trademark, publicity, or privacy rights);

6.2.2. Content that contains threats, bullying, abuse in relation to an individual or group of individuals;

6.2.3. Content that is offensive, hateful, a hate crime, or inflammatory or discriminates or incites violence against a particular group of people, including without limitation, any statement that is, or can reasonably be construed as, sexist, racist, ableist, homophobic, or ageist;

6.2.4. Content that promotes, directly or indirectly, any illegal activity, including, without limitation, advocating, promoting, or assisting in the commission of any crimes or other unlawful acts;

6.2.5. Content that encourages or gives instruction on self-harm. Content that contains detailed descriptions of self-harm. Content that causes, directly or indirectly, another to engage in any self-harming behavior, including, without limitation, encouraging or advocating suicide or an eating disorder;

N.B: The work must have a plot unrelated to the self-harm scene/s, or must show a progression or growth in its characters.

Acceptable: recovery, survival, or that portray the negative consequences of self-harm;

6.2.6. Pornographic content or illegal sex acts, including without limitation, incest, pedophilia, sex involving minors, bestiality, or necrophilia. Vulgar or offensive content of minors. Age of consent: any sexual content between characters must abide by this age;

6.2.7. Content that glorifies or promotes rape, non-consensual sex, or the sexual exploitation of children;

6.2.8. Content that advocates, praises or romanticizes terrorism, violent hate groups, figures, or extremist organizations;

6.2.9. Content that promotes animal abuse;

6.2.10. Content that breaches a legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty, fiduciary duty, or confidentiality obligations;

6.2.11. Content used to impersonate another person;

6.2.12. Content that can be deemed as advertising for a user to buy any product or service, which includes the use of specific brand names. Content that includes links to promotions with third party publishers and digital platforms.

6.3. Prohibited Visual Content:

6.3.1. Media that contains full exposure of any private parts, such as genitalia, breasts, and buttocks or displays sexual intercourse, or any other sexual act, regardless of whether private parts are visible;

6.3.2. Media that displays self-harm or suicide;

6.3.3. Images of people posted without their consent, except for public figures and celebrities;

6.3.4. Media that is sexually suggestive or sexually explicit;

6.3.5. Media showing weapons, ammunition, explosives, tobacco products, drugs and alcohol;

6.3.6. Any other media we deem unfit in our sole discretion;

7. In case of non-compliance with these rules the user solely bears all responsibility prescribed by this Agreement and any applicable laws and regulations and are obliged to compensate any damages arising thereof.

8. FictionMe reserves the right to modify, amend, alter, or update this Content Policy at any time without prior notice at its sole and absolute discretion. Any new Content Policy will immediately come into effect when FictionMe publishes it on the Platform or otherwise communicates it to you, such as via email. Your continued use of the Platform in any capacity following any changes to the Content Policy constitutes your acceptance of all such modifications and your agreement to be bound by the most current version of the Content Policy.
