Chapter 179

Cassian and Mom help Aurora up. Mom gives her a hug before Cassian leads her away, back to the waiting area. He sits her down and kneels beside her, trying to console her. 

“Sweet love, look at me.” he tells her, his voice breaking. He's taking this harder than anyone else and I can't comfort either one of them. “It's fine, he's going to be okay.”

“He can't die Cass, I have so much to tell him, so much to atone for.” she sobs, “I want to tell him that I love him, I'm not mad at him anymore but if he dies I will be mad, I'm going to be very mad at him. He said he'll never leave me, but-”
