I'm hardly done typing it out when the bedroom door opens, and Scarlett walks in. I haven't seen her in two days now, and it doesn't bother me as much as I think it should. Pressing send on the message, I pocket my phone, watching Scarlett act oblivious to my presence. She's listening to music, but one ear plug is not in.

“Why didn't you come home?” I ask her, not really interested but obligated to.

Scarlett tosses her earplugs on the bed, and shrugs. “You didn't want me here, so I thought I should give you space. Should I leave again? Or are you over your spurn. ”

“You surprised me but that doesn't mean I despise you, you know that.”

She doesn't respond, she merely stares at me. Big blue eyes filled with wonder, her gaze soon turns away, her body next. 

“Let's talk about it, like we do everything.” I offer, to which she shrugs.
