Chapter 23. A Stunt

"Stay away. Leave her. Don't do this." His mind was screaming at him but he cared least about it. 

Closing the gap between them, he leaned to her height and she closed her eyes welcoming his step.

Damon didn't back off and the best part is Angel was responding equally. Damon bends to her face but the lift opened exactly at the time.

Damn the timing. But Damon is relieved that he didn't do anything stupid to regret it later. 

"Angel" her friend's scream made her snap her eyes open. Damon pushed her instantly with a gape. He wanted to just get swallowed by the earth or so. But no one noticed Damon's stunt as they were busy with Angel's actions alone.

"He is not even Edward. Why are you taking selfies with him?" Jason asked, gaping at her as Angel was tongue-tied. She was still clicking selfies and that's why no one saw Damon’s actions.
