Chapter 55. Lady Clara

"You should see a doctor. How can your legs betray you every time you are with this boss?" Jason whispered yelling at Angel who is not in this world anymore. She was lost in his eyes and so was Damon. 

She normally looks pretty but today she made extra efforts and he is not able to look away for sure. Damon was continuously yelling inside his head to look away but he found it difficult to process the command of his brain. 

At the peak moment, " Happy birthday" His tongue slipped the words and Angel widened in horror. Damon never felt out of his control like this in his immortal life. 

"Thanks. But how do you know?" Angel asked, shocked. He made her stand and crossed his arms. Her questions have no end and Damon always had a very hard time answering them.

"Don't you know? I have special powers to hear your talks from far away too. Just like that, I got to know." Damon replied, bending to her height with a smirk. 

Angel looked at him unfazed.
