Rage. Pure, unfiltered, murderous anger raked my entire body till it was all I could do not to break his neck in half. Cale Osborn was close enough to Grandpa to be a friend of the family. And that was hefty than it sounded. Grandpa was the kind of man that saw dying alone and lonely as a better alternative when the other option was trusting someone else.
How could he so easily try to take what belonged to his friend, his lineage, like it was some toy they were passing around.
"Don't go looking at me like I already have five bullet holes from your gun." He snorted. "It's not personal." He shrugged, cocky as shit.
I dug my nails into my palm. It didn't feel like grandpa was getting betrayed. It felt like I was getting betrayed. The urge to jump him, strangle him, toss his short, pompous ass out the roof high window was brain numbing.
