Eric chuckled and stood up. He looked back at me before leaving. I sighed as I drummed my bare feet against the floor. What could I possibly do now?

"Hey, Sienna," Maya said as she walked back inside. She took a seat on the sofa closest to me.

"What? I thought you were leaving?" I asked her. 

She nodded and rubbed her ear. "Well, I thought it would be better if I stayed here with you just until they come back."

"You do realize that I won't be able to protect you if something happens, right? My leg is fucked up," I said. I quite enjoyed talking to her. She was almost naive. Poor little girl. Maybe I should try harder with her.

"Rocco has been teaching me how to shoot," she said.
