The energy released by the mark was enormous, making the water in the lake move and flooding the surrounding flowers, which lost their petals. I'm sure this wave spread throughout the castle and its surroundings.

All the vampires must have felt it and I think the people around them did too, it's not something I was counting on, but it certainly makes sense.

Ayla's body loses strength, and she closes her eyes. I can see the Shadows and Lights penetrating her body and soul, as well as Victor's metallic energy. There's nothing we can do now, just wait for Ayla's complete transformation.

I came out of her and heard her sigh, tired physically, mentally and spiritually. I looked at Victor.

"The safest place is to keep her here," Victor said.

"But that could overload her." I stroked my mate's cheek.

"We don't know what things are like outside the Garden." Victor kissed her temple gently. "We can take her to your room, but it's not safe."<
