Chapter 18. Being His

It was two hours later when Nate dropped me off at the hospital. He went in and greeted Dad, then left for the office minutes later.

"I've never seen you this happy Marissa. So, you're good with him I guess? I know someday I will give you up for your better half, but even seeing you dating gives me the chills." He chuckled but I could see that he was taking it seriously.

"Oh, Dad." I hugged him and continue listening to him. Minutes later I was helping him out of his bed to sit on the sofa. It was time for his medicines. He was bored out of his mind already.

"I can't wait to get home, I got so much work pending already." He sighed and looked straight at me.

"So, you're coming back then? I'm obviously kicking Pamela out of the house, Albert is taking care of the details for me. I don't care about the Alimony and the paperwork, I already hate myself for putting you through all that experience." He asked me as he held my hand looking at me expectantly.
