Chapter 33. Can't Lose You

I woke up with him by my side. I smiled and snuggled in closer to him. "Lori, if you keep on getting closer, I might just give it to you." But he pulled me closer to him anyway, as he sighed and hugged me tighter.

"How are you feeling this morning?" He stroked my hair and rub my arm.

"Better, thank you. Please hold me just a bit longer."

"You've got me for the next several days, Lori, I'm working from home. I'm not leaving you out of my sight. I love you baby, and you really scared me last night."

"You will? Are you sure? I'm safe here. I don't want to be a burden, James." I started to get up, but he was not letting me go.

"It's either me or I'm calling my mom to take care of you. I'm not leaving you alone. That's final."

"I don't know about cuddling with your mom. So, I'm having you then." He chuckled and kissed my hair.
