Beside that disengaged attorney, Xavier slumped in his seat, radiating such despair that it made my heart ache and elicited an involuntary cry from my lips. As I watched, the man on the stand began responding to questions regarding the orders they had been compelled to follow while serving under Thor. For the first moment, I observed a flicker of interest ignite in my brother's attorney's eyes, sparking a glimmer of hope within me.
