After seeing the news online, Bianca headed to Sophia’s house. Sophia had been overseas filming, but she’d sent her details and performance videos to the competition committee and secured a spot in the finals. She had just gotten back today, and they’d arranged to meet at home.

“Who’s there?” Elaine’s gentle voice called from inside.

“It’s me, Bianca. Is your mom back?”

The moment she heard her, Elaine swung the door open and ran straight into Bianca’s arms.

“Mom’s not home yet. Bianca, will you play with me for a while? You haven’t come over in so long. Did you forget about me?”

“How could I forget? I’ve just been so busy lately. But now that I finally have some free time, I came straight here to see you,” Bianca said with a smile.
