Chapter 108
Hard beds and cold floors were not something Marcus was used to, and so it made him unable to sleep throughout the night.
The moon was the only source of light in the dark cell, even though it shone through an insanely small window that Marcus constantly glanced at, as if hoping for someone to climb through it and get him out.
He sighed and rubbed his palms over his knees.
All of a sudden, he heard a loud clank and he turned sharply to the sound.
"Mr Marcus Dreame?" A guard asked and shone a torch on his face.
Marcus winced and raised his arm to shield his eyes. "Yes, I am."
"Please come with me," the guard turned off the light and stood aside for Marcus to pass.
Confused, Marcus stood and studied the man closely. He didn't think that he would be released until morning after he would be allowed to make a few calls, so the turn of events fazed him.
"What's going on?" He asked as he stepped out and looked around. "What time is it?"
