Chapter 66. I Was Dead
Lilith POV
“Lilith, the next room is Alpha Lucien.”
I swallowed hard at her words, my body trembling as a shiver raced down my spine.
Alpha Lucien.
He was the scariest one among the brothers—cold and emotionless, always wanting to kill someone.
He’d been the one adamant about killing me during the ritual. I could still remember his hand tightening around my throat, cutting off my air so it was understandable why I always felt this deep fear whenever his name was mentioned or he was near me.
My grip on the tray instinctively tightened… yet, he was also the one who had placed my mother under Dr. Samuel’s care.
I couldn’t understand it at all.
“Lilith, are you listening to me?”
Theila’s voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I quickly leaned away from the door and gave a small, sheepish smile.
“I’m sorry, Theila. I got… distracted.”
She studied me for a moment, as if she understood exactly why I was so flustered aft
