Damon
I didn’t sleep.
Not a second.
I laid awake in the guest room, staring at the ceiling until sunrise, my mind replaying every damn second of last night.
I couldn’t bring myself to sleep in my room after last night. I wanted her to be by my side when I returned to the room. And yet her stubborn demeanor told her that it was correct for her to be sleeping in her own room.
The way that the towel was on the floor after she had gotten dressed, she had clearly just taken a shower. Her wet hair gave her out the way she smelled like vanilla. Everything just played in my head.
Her flushed cheeks.
The way her chest rose with every breath when I got too close.
And the part that drove me insane?
She didn’t pull away.
She didn’t scream.
She didn’t ask me to stop.
The two of us just kept going, our bodies colliding as if they were one.
If I hadn’t left the room…
I ran a hand through my hair and muttered
