I woke up this morning with an excessive dose of excitement. I wouldn’t say I have no idea why I was this excited because I do. For the first time in a long time, I was feeling complete. I was once again feeling the love of a family.

Being orphaned at eight years old was pretty tough on me, as I had to grow up all alone, with just my friends by my side. But now, I had my loving kids, Damon, Leo, and Tanya, by my side, playing big sister, even though our ages were not far apart, and more recently, Whitney.

Even though it would take a while for my relationship with Whitney to return to what it used to be, I was happy that at least we were now on speaking terms.
