Chapter 75

The consultant's waiting office is small but cozy. The walls are painted a calming shade of blue, and there's a vase of fresh flowers on the desk.

I sit down in the waiting room and try to calm my nerves. This is a big moment for me, and I don't know what to expect. After what feels like an eternity, a young woman dressed in a white shirt and trousers comes from the office, walking directly to me. She courtesies.

"Good morning, Luna." She greets. I'm almost about asking her to retrieve the title as I'm not yet that but that will be another waste of time and energy. I've got no energy for that.

"Good morning. Are you the secretary to Dr Anne?" I ask because she seems like one.

"Yes ma'am," she replies with a nod. "I'm sorry it took a little bit of time before seeing the consultant but she was meditating and had an urgent need for that, else you wouldn't have to wait like Luna." There she goes again but I refuse to react.
