Chapter 29. Here We Go Again

“ How come you always look depressed after talking to Alpha Kayden?”

I stop in my tracks as I think about Xavier's words. He does have a point it's sad I never noticed it myself.

“ I guess he is just a depressing person.”

Xavier shakes his head, “ I don't agree, I have spent so much time with Kayden as well. He isn't a bad man.”

I remain silent, this makes things a bit different. I know he didn't say those words simply because Kayden is the alpha but rather because he has just observed him.

“ Well, he is depressing to me.” I defend.

Xavier shakes his head once more his shoulder-length black locs bouncing with each shake.

“ It's just a sign.” He states.

I raise my brows, “ what sign?”

“ That you need another man who won't be making you depressed every time you talk to him.”
