ELEANOR
“Come on, Eleanor, just a little harder.” Natasha encouraged, holding my hand.
I squeezed her hand as hard as I could as I screamed. She smiled and kissed my temple, letting her lips linger there for a few seconds before pulling away. “Do it for Killian, come on, you can do it, Eleanor.”
I cried out so loud that my lungs felt like they were going to burst.
My heart raced, and a heaviness made my lower half feel like it was being ripped apart before I felt the heavy weight loosen. My chest rose and fell, and I couldn’t help but feel my head dropping on the pillow behind me as Maria stood in front of me.
It wasn’t until a baby’s cry filled my ears that my eyes widened as I looked at my daughter who was in Maria’s arms. She looked at me with proud eyes before handing her to me, and I couldn’t help the tears that fell from my eyes at her sight.
