Chapter 54

I was shivering while seeing blood and the throat flesh in my hand, and tears were forming in my eyes after Yuri took Elders out of my sight, as I slumped on the ground and saw Henry's cold corpse. I was not crying because I killed Henry, but from the regret of not being able to shift before to be next to Silas and die alongside him, then stay without him.

"Elena," Drake drew me into an embrace as I sobbed uncontrollably. I didn't realize how much time had passed as I distanced myself.
