Chapter 141
Elvira POV
The darkness felt endless.
Ahead of me, silver eyed wolves writhed in chains. Their fur was matted with blood, their eyes hollow with a sorrow so deep it cut through me. I tried to reach them, tried to break the iron that held them, but my hands passed through the chains like smoke.
“No…” I choked, falling to my knees.
And then the world shifted.
The ground beneath me became slick, wet with blood. The scent hit me like a slap: coppery, sharp, and suffocating. Bodies littered the earth. Wolves. Men. Women. All torn, broken.
I stumbled back, slipping in the gore. My heart pounded so hard it felt like it would break free from my chest.
A wind rose, bitter and cold. From it came a voice, deep, and ancient.
