The moment I sensed magic in the air, unease crept in. I turned inward, asking my wolf what we should do.

We break the spell, she answered. But it will take time and strength we may not have.

I turned to Ethan. “There’s magic here—a concealment spell. Something powerful.”

Ethan looked skeptical. “Magic of that magnitude would require a skilled practitioner. The only ones with that level of ability are—”

“The Laurent family,” I finished grimly. “Isabelle’s relatives.”

I felt my wolf pushing more urgently now. We can do this together, Summer. This is our territory—our pack lands. The magic has no right here.
