I stood on our bedroom balcony overlooking the vast territory of the Blackwood Pack, my hands resting on my swollen belly where our second child—a son, according to Elena’s abilities—was growing strong and healthy.
The morning sunlight bathed our lands in a golden glow, turning the dew-kissed grass into a carpet of diamonds stretching toward the forest line.
“There you are,” Alexander’s deep voice came from behind me, followed by his warm, powerful arms wrapping around me. His hands covered mine on my belly just as our son delivered a particularly enthusiastic kick.
“Someone’s saying good morning to his daddy,” I said with a smile, leaning back against my mate’s broad chest.
