Aiden’s POV
His scream pierced the quiet forest, making the birds in the nearby trees flutter away in fright. It was a blood curling scream, frightening at that, a scream coming from a man who was clearly in pain. He deserved it, the traitor deserved it.
I hopped down from my horse as he fell from his to the ground, writhing in agony with gibberish coming from his mouth as he tried to form reasonable words. I reached out and drew my sword out and almost immediately his wound began to heal, damn his hybrid powers!
I brought the sword down again but this time he could reach out and hold it in midair blocking the hit.
“I know you are mad Aiden.” He rasped out in pure pain, “But if you could just hear me out, it’s not what you are thinking I swear with the Moon Goddess, I....”
