Chapter 91. His Decision
Raphael sighed as he sat calmly in his study. In front of him was Henry, who was fidgeting in his seat.
"What do you think about my offer?" he asked calmly, looking at Henry.
Henry was silent for a minute.
"I thought you wanted me to work as your gardener?" he asked.
"Yes... That was what I wanted. However, what I said was merely to test you. How bad would it be if my daughter's husband was my gardener? Everyone would then assume that you are a live-in son-in-law. It would be a smear on my daughter's reputation. I wouldn't want that," Raphael said.
"Oh. I never thought of that. All I wanted was to make it up to her. I knew I hurt her, so I am willing to undergo any punishment to prove my sincerity," Henry said solemnly.
"Do you think I would give my granddaughter to someone who would hurt my granddaughter?" Raphael asked.
