Chapter 20. No Expectations
Virgínia
I couldn't hold back until the evening to try to talk sensibly with Murilo and tell him about the unwanted pregnancy. I would not be a hypocrite to say that being pregnant would not be a problem in my life, or that it would be easy.
A child requires many things that I couldn't offer at this time, but with a lot of struggle, plus one I would try to do my best, and now that I had the store, the possibilities were much better.
But commerce was something amazing, and I knew that I needed, together with Mariana, to be aware of the constant changes in the fashion market and be as prepared as possible to meet our customers' needs. We could not fail. I could not fail.
Despite the excellent value I had achieved with Murilo, I didn't want to talk about an auction anymore, that word was erased from my vocabulary, I had almost no money left from what I had received, and now I needed to save even more to wait for the arrival of this child.
