"Then one day, a human messenger was sent with a letter from King Rafael, inviting us all to his son's engagement and to celebrate the years of peace and prosperity we had. Father was filled with joy. He had never stepped unto human land before and was excited to go. I still didn't trust the humans because nothing of the sort had ever happened before. My father had never extended an invitation to them and neither did King Rafael until that day. I warned my father against going but he said that he had to. That it was another way of showing sincerity and he said he actually had plans on inviting the human King to our Kingdom. King Rafael just beat him to it. He said he that although King Rafael was cunning, he was still a man of honour and would not betray our trust. That it was just a kind gesture."

"Kind gesture indeed." He scoffed, recalling how his father had blindly trusted the human King. His eyes went cold as his brain brought forth the image of his father's and brother's
