Chapter 104

It was time for Adams to return home but there was no sign of him anywhere, Alicia became worried since he never comes home late, she the decides to call him.

When Adams answered the call, she let out a breath of relief.

"What's wrong Adams? Why aren't you home yet? I'm so worried about you."

"I know, I'm so sorry, I was going to call you but it skipped my mind, I've got lots of work at the office so I won't be able to come home tonight, but I'll be back tomorrow morning." 

"You should have called to inform me, Diane woke up and she asked me about you."

"I'm really sorry, it's my fault for forgetting." 

Alicia could tell how stressed out he was from his voice, so she decides to just let it slide and not add to his stress.

"How's Diane? Has she gone back to bed?"
