Chapter 38

On her way back to her department, May bumped into Mike.

"Hey." He held her shoulders. "Are you alright?" He asked, his voice laced with concern.

May stepped back a bit. "I'm fine, and I'm sorry, I wasn't focused on where I was headed."

"It's fine." Mike replied, but he didn't fail to notice how upset she looked. "If you don't mind me asking, is everything alright, you clearly don't look happy to me, in fact you look so pissed and like you want to hit someone."

May scoffed. "Then I guess you should go see your best friend, then you'll know why." She replied before walking away. 

"Exc..." Mike trailed since he doubts she'll even listen to him at this moment. A confused frown appeared on his face. "What have you done this time Adams?" He groaned in frustration.

He wasted no time in going to Adams office, when he arrived, he knocked on the door but got no response, he tried again but still nothing.
