Chapter 399. Confronting The Enemy Face To Face
“Rachel, instead of resting and recovering, you’re lying here spinning wild conspiracies. That’s not going to help you,” Caitlin said with a feigned gentleness.
“Shut up! As if I don’t know what you’re up to!” Rachel snapped, fury etched into every wrinkle.
Taylor calmly defended her, “You’ve misjudged Caitlin. She’s a good girl. I’ve always thought so.”
“Hmph.” Rachel sneered. In her mind, Taylor and Caitlin were cut from the same rotten cloth—neither of them could be trusted.
“You’ve been hospitalized for days. I’m guessing no one’s told you what’s happened at home,” Taylor said lightly.
Rachel’s eyes narrowed. Taylor continued, “I doubt anyone’s had the guts. They’ve been keeping secrets from you.”
“What are you talking about? What tricks are you pulling now?” Rachel snapped.
“I haven’t done anything,” Taylor said innocently. “But your own house? That’s another matter. Douglas lost his mind recently—raped a girl and got himself arrested.”
