I sat there watching him work on my foot. It was stinging a lot but I gripped the sheets of my bed tightly biting my lower lip as hard as I could hoping the pain would subside but the tingling sensation which happened when Victor was cleaning it with some alcohol-based liquids had me clenching my teeth.

“Shh,” he kept muttering while blowing cool air to lessen the pain. I didn’t know if I would ever wear any closed shoes again because my toes were sliced so badly
