Sofia’s POV

“Welcome back,” Sterling spoke as I entered the mansion.

I looked around and noticed nothing seemed to have changed since I left. I had returned for tonight while the kids were with Leo. After talking more in the therapist’s office it felt like the right move. Sterling had made his progress as promised, it was about time he got more of a reward.

“Thank you.” I gave him a small smile.

“Rose went to visit with her children this weekend. So it’s just you and me. I hope that’s okay.” spoke as he came closer to me.

“That’s fine,” I responded.

“What’s the plan for dinner?”

“Well, there’s two options. We can cook.” He emphasized on the we part.

“Or we can order some cheap Chinese takeout which I know you like to do from time to time.”

I thought for a moment about the given choices.

“Let’s do Chinese. I don’t really feel like making a mess in the kitchen tonight.”
