Chapter 63

Rhea's POV

Bolting out of Estefan's study, I ran back to our room, closing the door behind me with my back resting on it. I placed my hand on my racing heart as my thoughts went wild. 

Why did he kiss me? No, the real question was why did I kiss him back? I could have pushed him away as I did in Hawaii but why didn't I? 

I hit the back of my head on the door, groaning at my stupidity. "Rhea, what is wrong with you?" I questioned myself. 

All he did was take responsibility for something that was his fault and redeemed my reputation, so there was no reason to let my guard down around him. Besides, it was only a matter of time before we get divorced and go our separate ways, so I needed my brain and my heart to cooperate with me to avoid having unnecessary feelings that could hinder my plans.
