Chapter 44. Meeting an Old Friend
“Greyson?” Sharon woke from a deep sleep and saw that Greyson was not there with her. She looked at the digital alarm clock on the table next to her head, “Still have two hours before the sun rises. Where did he go so early?”
Sharon slowly rose from her bed. She took her coat from the hanger and stepped out of her room. There was no one there.
When she went into the kitchen, she saw a note stuck to the refrigerator door. Sharon took the yellow note paper, “I went to meet an old friend. I probably won’t be back until another two or three weeks.”
Sharon took her cell phone in the room and tried to contact Greyson, but his number was unavailable.
“An old friend?” Sharon asked while frowning. “I don’t remember him ever telling me about his old friend. The only people I remember he knew in the past were Sohee and Numbers. But Sohee has killed all their comrades.”
She thought for a while.
“No,” said Sharon, shaking her head. “He couldn’t have cheated. H
