Mirabelle’s POV

Just as I poured myself a cup of coffee, my phone buzzed on the counter. The number flashing on the screen was unknown.

“Hello?” I said, sipping coffee.

“Mirabelle! Thank God you picked it up.” Ken’s voice came through the phone. “I need your help.”

“Have you really resorted to using other numbers to call me, just because I won’t answer yours?” I asked.
