Albert leaned lazily against the back of the chair, his slender fingers playing with the ring on his thumb, and he said with a smirk, “Miss Miller seems to have already figured out who framed us. Who is she?”

  This was the information he obtained from her tone during their conversation last night.

  Samantha quietly looked at the unfamiliar man in front of her.

  She didn’t know him.

  So she wouldn’t trust him either.

  She replied, “I don’t know! If I knew, I would have reported it to the police.”

  Albert didn’t expose her either. He took out a photo and placed it on the table. “Take a look, is this the man who led you to the back garden terrace that night?”

  Samantha took the photo, recognized the man in the photo at a glance, and nodded quickly, excitedly saying, “Yes, it’s him. He told me that Ethan invited me to the terrace to discuss matters. I thought he was a servant of the Steele family, so I didn’t suspect him and went!”
