Receiving such an answer, suspicion finally rose in Max's mind. He knew that Gabriella never left Cayden playing on the cell phone alone. After taking a deep breath, the man continued to walk faster.
“Calm down, Little Prince. Dad is on the way. In a moment, Dad will be home," Max sighed, trying to control the rumbling of his breath. He didn't want his panic to scare the baby even more.
Instead of answering, Cayden continued to sob. His chin was not free of sadness' drops even for a second. No one knew how much tears the baby had shed that made the collar of his loose shirt wet with it.
