Chapter 144. Settling Down into Family Life

“Can I stay over, dad? I don’t want to stay in granny’s house this time,” wailed Alexia.

Matteo’s house had become her favorite place to spend almost all her holidays. Matteo trained the girls in the art of making pizzas and they were becoming quite a pro at it. With his Mama around to help too, it was like a picnic all the time.

Mariella and Alexia became inseparable just like Lucas and Matteo. Although Sienna had her own close group of friends, she spent time with Amelia too.

As a nurse, she helped Amelia heal faster. Within a week of childbirth, she was up on her feet and ready to face the roller-coaster life. Marcello had to return but his Mama was quite settled at their sprawling house.

The twins were quite a handful and kept Amelia up all night. Matteo’s mama and the nanny took turns and helped to relieve her off the pressure. This time everything was easier with so many people to help her. Amelia looked more and more radiant with every passing day.
