Asher’s face turns pale the moment he sees the picture. His eyes widen, his jaw tightening as he looks up at me, clearly troubled.
“This isn’t Nadine,” he says quietly, his voice barely above a whisper. “The woman in this picture is Isabelle Haines. Livia’s mom.”
My stomach twists at his words. Isabelle Haines? That name doesn’t ring a bell, but something about it sends a chill through me. My confusion only deepens.
“Isabelle Haines? Why does she look so much like Nadine?” I ask, my mind racing to put the pieces together.
Asher exhales sharply, shaking his head. “I don’t know, Logan. But one thing is for sure—Isabelle has a history of causing trouble. If she’s involved in this, she must be behind the framing. She’s been stirring up problems for a while now.”
