Chapter 44

My other hand continues to hold the hoodie of my thick coat, this is enough to protect my head from getting hurt, but if I were to be thrown towards that sharp rock, there would definitely be no mercy for my life. In the midst of dwindling hope, I closed my eyes and begged in my heart that Lyon would immediately come to save me.

And, suddenly I heard footsteps running next to me. I opened my eyes and saw the figure of Lyon who immediately grabbed the beast's hand and removed her nails which were stuck in my arm. I could feel the immense pain as his nails pulled away, my coat had holes in it and I could see blood coming out of the nail-sized wounds. Lyon immediately carried me, she looked at me.

"Thank you," I said quietly, feeling like my energy had completely run out. When I turned towards the creature, it was seen staring at us, its roar then sounded so loud, it then ran quickly towards us.
