Joy’s POV

I gently disengaged my arms from Lex’s sleeping body and gratefully took the steaming bowl of nutritious soup from Dante’s hands.

“Typical Lex,” Rowland murmured as he exposed Lex’s dirty secret, the only possessions in his “cabinet” other than a loaf of bread- pills, pills and pills! Sleeping pills, pain killers and energy giving pills to be precise.

“I wanna slap him and hug him at the same time,” Bella woefully muttered, as she watched me feed Lex in a unique way in my lap.

Dante made a face while his mates chuckled at him.

“Remind me to never watch you feed someone else or your kids, for that matter, if you are going to be a demon about it,” he shuddered as I pinched Lex’s nose between my fingers so that his pathway for breathing was constricted.

Even a sedated Lex’s brain knew that if the nose was blocked, it had to open Lex’s mouth to fill his burning lungs with air.
