Caleb’s POV
I watched as she backed away from me slowly, standing next to the bed with the Moonlight painting her in silver, her hair a curtain of darkness against her shoulders, eyes glowing with the unspoken kind of hunger that made my heart race and my breath shallow. She didn’t speak. She didn’t need to. Her eyes told me everything. And gods, if my legs didn’t move on their own.
I crossed the room and reached for her slowly, reverently, like she was something sacred. Because she was. She was mine, and yet, she was so much more than that. She was the air I breathed. The fire in my soul. The storm that made me feel alive.
