I breathed in relief, the kind that almost buckled my knees, but before I could even begin to let myself settle, confusion started spreading around like wildfire. Voices overlapped, soldiers groaning as they tried to sit up, some clutching at their heads while others stared blankly at one another, clearly not understanding how they ended up here.
