Chapter 78. Christmas

When we get to the other side, I look up at him. He can only shake his head and laugh.

"Tell me." He smiles when I beg.

"Alright, alright." He’s upset. "We are going to see the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular. I was able to get passes to the shows, which started last week. He shows me the tickets by taking them out of his coat. I just look at him in shock.

"What?" I’m too excited to look at anything else, so I ask. "Are you serious?"

"I’m not joking, honey." This is what he tells me, and he shows me the tickets. I smile. I start to jump around because I’m too happy to stay still. He smiles and seems happy about how I responded, and I make a high-pitched noise.

"Oh, my, god." I give him a smile and shake his arm back and forth. "I didn’t even ask to do this, but it’s so cool."

"I know, but I just thought you might like it." My heart swells when he mumbles.
