Cara woke to the faint hum of electronics and the soft tapping of rain against the loft windows. The adrenaline from last night’s infiltration had barely settled, replaced by a low, simmering tension. Something wasn’t right.

Marcus moved silently in the kitchen, eyes scanning the monitors, coffee in hand. When he noticed her watching, his gaze softened briefly before hardening again. “We’ve had a breach,” he said, voice low, measured. “Someone tipped Ravik off.”

Clara’s stomach twisted. “Who?”

Marcus didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he guided her to the main monitors. There, on one of the live feeds, a familiar face moved — their trusted ally, Damian.

Her breath caught. Damian had been their inside man for weeks, providing intelligence, safe exits, and access to the network. Seeing him moving freely inside Ravik’s stronghold made her stomach churn.
