Chapter 4. Second-Chance Mate

Alpha Caden's POV:

'This useless rut! You think you can fu*king rebel against us! " The ugly captor with a long scar running down the left side of his cheek pierced the long iron nail into my arm.

My sleep was always disturbed by vivid flashbacks of my time in slavery. The sound of chains rattling and the smell of sweat and blood would fill my senses, transporting me back to the horrors of my past. Luckily, my cold heart couldn't feel anything else other than hatred and anger. I was cursed but I never complained about it to the Goddess.

'Fu*k Everyone! Once we find our mate, we will be at ease.' My wolf, Ezekiel, growled inside my head out of frustration. His wish to get a mate had been so depressing for me.

'I don't want a mate! ' I stated.

Ezekiel went quiet again like every time we ever fought. And it was always the Mate. My wolf threatened me that he would go feral on the pack members and humans if he wouldn't able to find his destined mate. I, on the other hand, had enough mistresses to please me. It wasn't as if I would change because of some stupid she-wolf.

We had been dwelling deep inside the packs which promoted slavery in their kingdoms. Till now, with more than 50 packs under me, I was one of the most feared Alphas of all time. And that's what I wanted. Everyone should be fu*ing scared of me!

'It's time to hunt. ' I rose from the bed and got dressed into my armor. It was around 1 AM and the best time to free slaves from the packs.

'Eclipse Moon Pack. ' Ezekiel whispered under his breath.

Now standing before the pack doors and noticing how crazy my wolf was reacting made me reconsider my decision of announcing the attack.

'Ezekiel! What's wrong with you? ' I roared at him.

'She's here... I can smell her sweet scent. ' Ezekiel was trying to take over my senses and however hard I tried to stay focused, his feral side got on me and I growled before attacking the two soldiers of Eclipse moon pack.

"Alpha, what are you doing ?" My Beta, Mikasa, stepped in.

I charged toward the same pack house, my senses were completely overtaken by a frenzied rage. I swung my sword with reckless abandon, striking anyone trying to stop me. The soldiers got the signal to follow me with their weapons and we attacked each one of them coming our way. I had to get inside the pack house. This scent was extremely impossible to ignore. I passed the lifeless bodies of all the men coming in my way. I was on a killing spree and my eyes desperately tried to find their Alpha to end this attack within minutes.

But he was nowhere to be seen. Even when his Beta and Gamma were caught, he didn't as much come to make his appearance.

"Alpha Hayder escaped and abandoned his pack in our hands. " Beta Mikasa informed me.

I laughed shaking my head at the scared faces of his pack members. They were ruled by a sheep until now who chose his life to protect the pack.

"Fu*king find him! " I commanded my Beta.

Ezekiel was going restless as I walked inside the ruins of that palace. The scent has begun suffocating me by now.

"Whoever is in the basement take them up here! " I ordered.

To distract myself, I took a round around the members who were kneeling on the ground begging for their lives.

"Please let us go. " One of the elders pleaded.

"Wish I could discuss it with your Alpha but he left. " I mocked him.

My grip on the sword tightened and I wanted to behead all of them. The sweet scent filled the room and my wolf howled and growled inside me.

'Mate.'He said as my eyes found a pair of green ones staring back at me with fear.

The fear that I was her mate and I had my sword ready in my hands to kill every single person present there. My eyes traveled down on her almost naked body and I felt something.

I felt this strange emotion. I had to grip the bracelet of the moon goddess in my hand.

'In the times of weakness, you pray to the moon goddess. ' My mother had said. But it was not a time of weakness. This petite weak she-wolf could never make me weak!

'She's our little mate. 'Ezekiel hissed angrily.

My heart pounded with a foreign emotion and luckily Beta Mikasa had brought in the traitor of his land. The Great Alpha Hayder of Eclipse moon pack.

Even when I was looking at Alpha Hayder and his pack members trembling with the fear of death looming over them, I couldn't keep myself from taking a few glances back at the scared girl who was now covered as I asked my men to.

Alpha Hayder as I had expected him pleaded to let him live and once again made his pack members the prey for his safety and the packs by offering me something and not fighting me. I smirked at the thought of playing with him mentally and threatened to kill each one of them.

"Please don't kill us! " I heard her voice for the first time and it worsened my state. The erection which I had been trying to control for so long overpowered me.

I wanted to mark her right there and make her mine. I needed to hear her soft moans when I would be banging her.

'A Luna never fears death. ' Ezekiel stated.

I hated the way she made me feel. How this new emotion made me let my guard down! I couldn't trust a woman. I was never meant to love or have a mate to cherish in my life. But I couldn't let her go either.

She was mine! There was no doubt.

'Don't reject her. ' Ezekiel growled.

'I am not rejecting her. I want to taste her so bad. ' I answered.

Alpha Hayder stared at my mate with longing eyes. He was going crazy internally when she offered to be my slave. There had to be a history between these two. I couldn't bear the fact that my mate was wanted by another man so I dragged her along with me. To a quiet corner where no male eyes could get to her other than me.

"Will you be my breeder? " I felt the pain when my wolf howled in my chest. But this was the only way I was accepting her in my life. To say I was nervous too would not be a lie because if she would have rejected my offer then I had to forcibly take her to the pack.

But she agreed. I smiled victoriously.

"How many men have you fu*ked? " I had to ask out of jealousy. She was so damn beautiful, her curves all in the right proportion. There had to be a man who tasted her before me.

"None, Alpha. " My co*k tingled in my pants but I had to control myself until we reached the pack and she signed the contract.

I would never trust or love a woman in my life even if she was my mate. Is she a virgin?
