Chapter 39. School Got More Happening

The next few days were not that eventful.

Most of the kids in their class skipped school. They were given respite. Braze was missing and so was Kian and Betty.

Mira didn’t feel like texting or calling them.

She casually attended class and went back to her room, ticking days off the calendar before she had to pack her bags and leave.

She tried calling her mother several times but she didn’t answer. She called the caterer in their area to ask if everything at home was alright but they said that they hadn’t seen her mother for many days. She would have been worried to death at such news but in the light of recent events everything appeared normal.

‘Stay where you are or go anywhere else. Do whatever you have to do but do not come back home. It’s no longer safe.
