Chapter 182
Harper's POV
I hijacked Theo’s bell. Mason’s not wrong, he’s fine. So he can cope without it for a little while. Mason's arms are still wrapped around me, warm and secure, and I sink deeper into him, resting my cheek against his chest. It’s quiet for the first time in hours, and I’m not in a rush to break it. We’ve barely had any time alone this week. Not with Theo and his never-ending need for attention.
“He’s like a big kid,” I whisper into the fabric of Mason’s shirt.
Mason chuckles, the sound low and soft against me. “Wait until he’s sick. He’s just as bad.”
Oh god. “I’m happy to do all this while he’s actually injured,” I say, lifting my head to glance up at him, “but there is no way I’m playing nurse because he’s got a cold.”
