Chapter 70
Nathan's POV
I want to believe her. I do believe her. But a video would prove it, hard, undeniable evidence that Ronald crossed the line. And more importantly, it would show him that we won’t look the other way.
The door opens, breaking the tension like a pin to a balloon. Theo steps inside. He looks calm now, cooler than before, his expression unreadable as he moves across the room and drops into one of the armchairs. His eyes flick to Harper and narrow slightly as he catches her laughing softly at something Mason just said.
He has no idea we walked in on him earlier, no idea what Harper saw or what she said. But judging by the tight set of his jaw, he hasn’t forgotten the tension she left him with.
“Alright,” I say, turning away from my screen. “Let’s talk.”
